Where can I find Happiness:

  • Examine yourself first. Find the cause of your unhappiness
  • Happiness is a choice -  You can choose to be happy or remain in your state of depression.
  • Happiness is to forgive – Let go of the person or thing which had caused your sorrow.
  • Happiness is being yourself – You don’t have to impress others, knowing that God loves you and is pleased with you.
  • Happiness is being happy here and now – Not wishing that you would be happy , “if” you were in the place you desire. The grass always seems greener on the other side.
  • Happiness is the attitude of fortitude.
  • Happiness is to be satisfied and thankful with your lot, not desiring your neighbour’s things

The Story of four wives:

Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another.

He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confident and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times.

The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her!

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone."

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!", replied the 4th wife, and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart.

The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No! ", replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave." Her answer struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated.

Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was very skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"

In truth, we all have the 4 wives in our lives: Our 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die.

Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, it will all go to others.

Our 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

And our 1st wife is our Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world. However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity.

The Father – Son relationship

Let us take a peek into the relationship between a father and his small kid. The son asks the father for lots of stuff which he sees around but the father discerns what things are good for his son and gets him those in its due season when the son can use them to its fullest. He doesn’t put a mega truck in front of his 10 year old son even though he is capable of buying it for him then. He gives it to him at a time when the son has a license and is capable of driving the huge vehicle. Now all that a good father expects in return from the son when he gives him the gift is nothing more than a “thank you dad”. He isn’t looking for the son to do something new and good if he gets him the gift. Although he would love his son to amend his ways for the better he buys him the gift because he loves him and because it is good for him. Now all the son had to do was to ask for the gift and receive it in its appropriate time. He dint have to go around the house a 100 times or take out the trash for a year or do something extraordinary to move his father to get him the gift. Although those acts would please the father, they were not responsible in catalysing the gifts arrival. You see, he needed to get to the age specified by the law of the land to get a license and no amount of extra chors  can help him reach that age faster. It’s a strange notion people have that good works result in answered prayer. God says in His word that our righteousness is like filthy rags. God blesses His children out of the abundance of His grace. The only thing we can do to express our “thank you dad” to Him is to praise Him with our heart. There is also no shortage for God’s blessing. When He blesses He blesses abundantly with all good things. He is a good God and is willing to bless His children every moment of their lives. The only thing the children have to do is to ask and receive thankfully. Are you excited for abundance today?

Life's Routines

Most of us at some point of time in our lives get into a routine. For a kid it could be “school-homework-food-play”, For a youth it could be “college-friends-movies-internet” , For an employee it could be “office-waiting for a holiday-family”. It’s really strange the hours of a day pass by and a person in a routine goes on smoothly shifting from one phase to the other. Life just goes on moving at the pace decided by one’s routine. If you are a busy person you pack in a bit more into a day than an average man but it still holds as a routine. If you are at office you hear many people say “I’m okay, Just the routine, I’m going for a coffee break”. What is this routine and why is it consuming most people lives? When is the last time you heard someone say “ I couldn’t have been better, my life is amazing”? When does a schedule for a day become a routine? Why do feel so pleased most of the times when we do something out of the routine? Do we actively learn when we groove into our routines? Lots of questions out there. But the bottleneck for all of them is “How did my schedule become a routine?”. It’s easy, a person see’s the same thing happening so many times that another repetition of the same events doesn’t excite him/her. They become robotic to the occurrences. Some might call it experience but experience involves active learning.

As a result of routines creeping into our lives people came up with an idea of routine-breakers. They take a day off or do something fun for a week or go out for dinner with their family. But after the day/week its back to the routine again. So what could possibly separate a person from blending seamlessly into his/her routine. The word of God says “In all things that I do I give you praise”. When we start praising God our inner man gets rejuvenated and we become sensitive the spirit realm. Now the spirit realm is a whole new level of excitement. You cannot have a routine when you are a soldier at war in the spirit realm fighting for the Father. Everything you do in your day through praise will add meaning to your life and your routine will become your schedule. You control your schedule and it’s not the other way round. Break free from your routine today. Give Him all the praise for everything you do and live for Him for His glory.

ASK IN FAITH AND YE SHALL RECEIVE

A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautifully wrapped gift box.Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Bible? and stormed out of the house, leaving the Holy Book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he was going through, an envelope dropped out, and inside was a car key that had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words … PAID IN FULL.How many times do we miss God’s blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

Four Crazy Friends

The friends we choose define us. They are an integral part of our life - they influence what we do and how we do it. There was an eye-opening message delivered by Adam Mccain at the Awakening Conference.Well since visual is always more impacting , check out the message at the following links: Part 1 and Part2

An Interesting Thought

Let us look at 2Samuel 20. Well there’s a real big revelation hidden within this chapter.  The main verses in the chapter that we would be referring to are 1-3 and 14-22.It would be great if these verses were studied but just to summarize -  There was a man, Sheba of the tribe of the Benjamites who provoked the Israelites against king David. Then Joab, one of the servants of the king was sent by him to pursue Sheba and he traced him to the walled city of Abel and camped against it. As they were planning to overpower the city and seize the traitor one of the citizens of the city reached out to know and understand what Joab wanted from the city. Knowing the cause the people of the city seized the culprit and removed him from the city.

Lets focus on three characters in the above extract – King David, Joab and the city Abel itself. Now lets map each of these characters so that they are relevant to our living. Lets think of King David as the Father God, Joab to the Holy Spirit (who is within us), and the city Abel (which is a part of Israel) as yourself.  There is now one more character that creeps in Sheba – lets take him to be the evil one (satan) because he intended the split of Israel.  Okay, now the evil one was trying to separate Israel (you) from King David (God the Father) and then Joab (the Holy Spirit sent by God through Jesus to live within us) tracked him down.  But He did not get rid of Sheba, he told the city about the intruder and the city took care of him. He was the initiator and the city obeyed His voice. The end result as we see was that Israel was not divided but returned back to the King. So once the city(you) got the revelation from Joab(The Holy Spirit) they obeyed him and took a decision and acted upon what they chose to do. This choice brought them back unto the King and preserved them.

This simple thought would be pretty helpful when we paddle against the waves to reach out and stay with the King of Kings throughout our mortal journey.

Prophesy for the present Generation

Three picture flashed by one after another
1. A scorpion on a window
2. An ant in a bubble
3. A wave which grew big
These pictures are related to time.
The scorpion on a window is frightning and keeps people in the darkness of the room from going out of the window and being in the light. They can see the light but the scorpion is preventing them from going into the light.
Now ant's are very hard workers, but because it is in the bubble it is constrained and cant perform most of its work it is built for. The people of God are like the ant in the bubble. They are built for great work, they have the capacity for doing great work for God but they are constrained.
Now the big wave-  Initially it was a small ripple and then all of a sudden it grew big. This corresponds to the present time we are in. This wave sweeps the scorpion of the window and breaks the bubble the ant is in. It sets the captives free and frees the children of God from all the constraints keeping them from performing the works of God.
There is a great flood of God's spirit that is going to sweep over all the lands at this time. The Time Jesus was speaking of is now here!  Are you ready to catch the tide?

Life is precious - Choose it

There is this wonderful passion in a persons life, a passion which rejuvenate’s the inner soul and makes life so painless and so pure that things around you are just dwarffed by just the thought of your Creator. He really is so awesome that i believe that a word like “AWESOME” should be reserved especially for Him.Many wonder with all the conspiracies surrounding the very existence of a Creator whether to even spare much of a thought about how things around them point to a great and unimaginable power that created them. People often get caught up  with the creation that the Creator is a far off objective which they might never reach. All of creation point to a  magnificent and all-powerful Creator.

Just imagine with a Creator that created the sun’s and the star’s with such intricate details, the power that created the universe what weightage does any of His creation hold. The majesty of the Creator was wonderfully portrayed in a video series by Louie Giglio.

                                         {youtube}RKMw1ndl-EY|650|400{/youtube}

So now could you just imagine a personal intimate relationship with a Creator so awesome.Yes my friends it is possible.A Creator,so massive and amazing loves each and every person on the face of this earth He so delicately created. He loves us so much that He created us in his own image and likeness. But just hold on a second,”Are you telling me that such a great God who is so pure and so holy can have fellowship with a person who is stained all over with sin? How is this possible?”.Yes actually that isnt possible, a pure Creator loving   people stained with sin is not what we call justice. So how does the Creator solve this barrier caused by sin? God had to make a pure and perfect sacrifice  that could wash away all of mankinds present, past and future tense sins.God had to send His only begotten Son – Jesus to be a sacrifice for all of man’s sins that by faith in Him we have a hope for salvation, a hope to spend eternity with a Mighty Creator.

Friends we always do have a choice in Life. The choices we make decide the course of our years to come on earth but only one choice in our life can decide where we spend our eternity, whether its in a glorious place called Heaven, where you are kept cool and comfortable in mansions or a place called hell where the boilers are  burning and souls are crying in despair.Just ask yourself “What would happen to me after death. Would I be reborn into a rat or a squirrel?”. My dear friends would a glorious Creator stand to see  His children whom He so lovingly drafted in His own image live in the form of a frog. Just think about it. Our souls are too precious to sell. Its all we have after death and its your choice when you are living to decide a place for your soul after you end journey on earth. God is telling you “You have two choices my child – life or death, but choose life that you might  be blessed”.It is your choice to make today.

Choose Wisely!

The CAR

The car is a wonderful human invention, It makes travel so convenient and easy and created a new hobby –  “driving”. A car also has something called a “key” which is used by the owner to start it up and get it going. Now  unless you put the key in the key hole and turn it you cant enjoy the car, It would just be dissapointing to have  such a wonderful device and not have the key to use its power and energy. Wow! Once you have the key you  can really soar on the roads, it would save a lot of your time and effort if you are a good driver, that is. Well our  supernatural life is something like this car. We can see miracles happen and have an intimate relationship with  God only if we have the keys to our spiritual car.The keys you need is Jesus. He will unlock all the accessories of  your spiritual car that you would ever need. All you need to do is listen to how you use them. Wouldnt it be  wonderful to have such a wonderful experience and live life on a whole new level, the level of the supernatural.  Well what are you waiting for? Go get your keys and enjoy the ride!! And remember follow the Lords lead and he  will  take you safely to your destination – the “Home Sweet Home”  in  the story of” Christies old organ.”  (Heaven).

Hey but wait there is one more way of accessing your car-Rob it.  There are many car thieves out there who can ride your car for you if its not on the move. Now lets not go into all the possible ways of stealing this car. That would not be a good thing to post here but lets just confine our discussion on an intruder taking over a car which is not moving or which does not have a driver in it. Okay now the car is your life and you are the driver. When you do not have the keys(Jesus) to your car(life) it is not moving. There are lots of drivers intruders out there who could help you drive your car for you. Now that is definitely not fun! Someone coming in to your car(life) taking control over your car(life) and taking you places you do not want to go. Now the enemy in your life is the devil. The more you sit out there stationary, without moving the more opportunity you give the enemy to come in. When he comes in, he only comes in to spoil your fun (to steal, kill and destroy). So please do not plan on spending your life in the parking lot talking with all the other people there. Go driving and have fun.

  Walking on Water

In Matthew 8:23-27 we see that Jesus His the disciples were in a boat travelling to the other side and there was a big storm that hit their boat. Jesus was in the boat along with His disciples here and when the storm hit them Jesus was awakened and we see that by one word Jesus calmed down the raging storm and the blazing waters. We see a very similar situation few chapters later in Matthew 14:23-32 but this time Jesus was not in the boat with His disciples. He was on the water!. Even this time the storm was made to calm down and Jesus and His disciples travelled safely to the other side.

What is the difference in these two situations? In both of them the disciples were in a boat travelling to the other side,In both of them there was a heavy strorm and great waters were ramming the boat. There was Jesus in both the cases. What was the difference?

1.The first incident occured earlier than the later.

2. Jesus was out of the boat the second time.

3. One of the disciples,Peter dared to go out of the boat to meet Jesus in the second incident.

If we consider the place where Jesus met His disciples it totally is different in these two cases. In the first case(in the beginning when we are still having spiritual milk) Jesus met His disciples in the boat but in the second case(when God knows we are ready to start walking) Jesus met His disciple out there in the sea.

Well my friends in the beggining stages of our Christian walk,God will show us all the miracles we need to see all around us without us doing anything. But when we grow we need to grow in higher levels of our faith and trust in the Lord. In these times we will be meeting the Lord not in the boat doing nothing but on the sea walking in faith looking only to Jesus nulling all the temptations and worries of this life. So when you dont get what you have been praying for or you have been expecting God to move, think again God has done everything possible to teach you and make you grow,it is now time for you to come out of your boat and show God how great a teacher and creator He is. Lets meet our saviour in the sea and break down all the barriers of the enemy which separate us from our saviour.

Go out and be victorious!!! God bless you.
