"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
- 3 John 2
It is God's will above all things that His people should prosper and be in health, in proportion to their spiritual growth.
As we grow spiritually, we prosper and are in good health. The Word of God is a mighty force. Psalm 138:2 says, God hath magnified His Word above all his name.
(I John 1:1, 5, 7) - The Word of God is life, God is light and in him is no darkness at all. As we walk in the light of His word we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
As long as we are alive (in the flesh) we are prone to diseases, accidents or some evil or the other. But Jesus Christ had redeemed us from the curse (Gal 3:13, 14). When we believe and speak the Word of God over ourselves and our family, we form a hedge of God's protection around ourselves and our family. God has given His promise of protection in (Psalm 91) when we believe it and speak it out in faith, then and only then can we obtain the blessing, because blessings are voice activated. God spoke the creation into being (Gen 1:3-30)
(Gen. 1:26-28) (Psalm 8:4-8) (Psalm 115:16) When God originally created man; He gave man dominion over the earth and having divested Himself of His authority, after the fall God no longer had direct control over man's affairs. That being the case, for the Word of God to have authority in the earth, the Word had to be spoken by man. So when we believe the Word and speak it out in faith we receive.
The problem with many Christians is, we wait until we get sick and then try to claim the promises for healing, instead of building up a resistant force before we fall sick. Many of us are just saved and stuck. We don't enjoy the full benefits of Salvation. Salvation is visible - by prosperity, good health, holiness and by long life. The Bible says (in Psalm 91:16) God satisfies us with long life. But the Church often confesses the curse (Psalm 90:10) and believes for 70 or 80 years with labour and sorrow. They receive what they believe and speak out.
The great mission of the Holy Spirit is to search the deep things of God and reveal them to us, so we can bring heaven down to earth. He has been entrusted the job of seeing the Father's will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Glory to God!
Before the rapture, the church will get brighter and stronger, so that people can easily differentiate the world and the church. The bride will be shining with the same glory as Jesus Christ and will be ready for the marriage - The wedding of the Lamb. We need faith to claim the promises of God and grow bright for our Lord. Jesus wants us as a sun beam. The bride should bedeck herself in readiness for her groom.
(Job 30:18) Job calls his disease a “ great force”. Job was a righteous man, but he did not have enough power to withstand that great force. This great force - “ disease ” holds people tightly, though they are believers, troubling many all their life.
God said, (Hos.4:6) “ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. When we don't know God's will, we perish. When God , who loved us so much, that He gave His only begotten Son to die upon the cross, who bear our sin, shame and sickness, and released us from the power, presence and penalty of sin, would He not give us all things, when we believe in Him (Jesus). He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.
According to (Isa. 33:24) we believe for divine health - absence of disease (Isa. 33:24) - “ And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
When we believe and claim this promise in faith for ourselves and our family, confessing that, “ All the inhabitants of my family (my spouse, my children, my parents, myself) shall not say, I am sick anymore, for God had forgiven our iniquity ” we receive God's promise. But when we go out and sin willfully, we give access to the devil to put disease on us. Our actions release either the power of God or power of satan in us.
(Psalm 105:4) We should seek the Lord and His strength to counter the great force of disease. We need to develop a much greater force to resist it. The Word of God is a mighty force which can resist the great force of disease.
The Word of God becomes flesh, when we know the Word and confess it in our hearts first, say it over and over again until our spirit and our words agree and our whole being swings into harmony and into line with the Word of God. Christ's words are filled with Himself, and as we act on them, they fill us with Christ and we become immune to disease or other harm. Confession means to believe and say what God says of a Bible truth we have embraced. Confession is simply believing with our hearts and repeating with our lips God's own declaration of what we are in Christ.
The Holy Spirit in I Peter 2:24 says, “ By whose stripes ye were healed”. We are to believe and say the same thing. When our affirmation is the Word of God, He watches over it to make it good (Jer.1:12). In (Heb.3:1)When in accordance with God's Word, Jesus, our High Priest acts in our behalf according to what we confess (Rom 10:9-10). Confession says the same thing that God says in faith, believing and confessing before experiencing the result.
Confession comes first, and then Jesus our High Priest responds with the new birth. It is not salvation unto confession but confession unto salvation. Confession comes before salvation. There is no such thing as salvation without confession.
Faith is acting on God's Word. This always puts God to work fulfilling His promise.
Heb 9:17 - The law of death is in force as long as He who gave it is there, but Jesus said (John 10:10) I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. Jesus Christ - our Lord is alive and his Word- the mighty force is valid and is much greater than the great force of disease.
How do we tap into that mighty force of God?
Job 6:25 - Right words: God's Word spoken by us has great power to counter any sickness the devil tries to put on us.
We should not wait until we get sick and then try to use the force, we should build up resistant force before we fall sick (Psalm 107:20) God says He sent his word, and healed us, and delivered us from our destructions.
As we dwell in the house of the Lord - The Word of God (Psalm 84:4-7) we grow from strength to strength and become a mighty force, so the valley of Baca can be made a well. We can have heavens response to our anointing. As we walk through the valley of Baca - a dry wasteland, heaven responds to our word and it brings rain. Heaven is in us, we can bring it out.
(Psalm 119:130). For the entrance of the Word of God gives light to dispel the darkness of disease. God is our shield (Psalm 84:9). He shields us from all danger. He protects us. His blood cleanses us from all sin. (Psalm 91:3-12) says God protects us and covers us with His feathers. The angels assigned to protect us destroy all plague or harmful pestilences. They protect us from all evil and prevent all accidents.
Angels excel in strength (Psalm 103:20) when they hearken or listen to the voice of the Word of God, the specific Word. Then they excel in strength to fulfill the Word spoken by us. We are responsible for speaking the Word in faith. The Word when spoken enables us to receive protection and deliverance from all sickness and harm.
With the Name of Jesus, His Word, His Spirit and God as our shield we speak the Word of God and claim the promise for ourselves and our loved ones, believing that what things so ever we desire, when we pray, we receive.(Mark11:24)
